Step forward
From the moment they join Places for People, all of our staff are encouraged to be passionate about our work and the service that we provide.
Our unique culture of putting customers at the heart of what we do is the foundation that we base our service ethics on. We recognise that where you live is your home and that you want us to provide services that allow you to enjoy your neighbourhood and wider community.
We aim to deliver quality services and in order to achieve this we have created training for each new member of staff who joins the Group.
Step Forward training
This is a new training course which has been devised by both staff and customers with the needs, wishes and aspirations of customers in mind.
We encourage employees to 'Step Forward' at every opportunity and make the experience dealing with Places for People a pleasant and helpful one.
The purpose of the training is to bring our visions and values to life by encouraging our staff to:
Take time to listen to customers and understand the questions and comments being made
Take responsibility for ensuring that questions are answered or services delivered
Be positive, calm, confident and proactive in how they communicate with customers
To treat everyone with respect
