Want to rent

People viewing homes for rent and sale

We have a wide range of homes available for rent across the country. This section explains the different rental options we offer, who they're for and how to apply.

Rent now, buy later

We offer two schemes that allow you to rent a brand new home with the option to buy it later: 'Try Before you Buy' and 'Rent to HomeBuy.' These schemes make it easier for you to move from renting to buying.

Both are designed to help you save for a deposit. And - because the schemes are offered at some of our latest developments - you get a brand new, beautifully designed home that's ready for you to move in.

Homes for market rent

We have around 850 homes for market rent. The majority are modern apartments situated in vibrant city-centre locations. We advertise the properties through local letting agents who list them on popular websites like Rightmove. Download a list of agents (pdf) today.

Homes for affordable rent

We've been providing homes for affordable rent for over 40 years. These homes are part-funded by the Government - meaning the rent may be lower than homes offered for private rent.

You can apply for one of these homes if you're on low income or if your current home is too small for you and your family, if you're moving back into the area or if you're moving with your job.

Call us on 0800 432 0002 (calls are free from a landline) to find out if you can apply. We have three different application routes and we'll advise which one suits you best.

If we accept your application, you'll go onto a local waiting list and we will aim to house you as soon as we can.

Our homes for rent booklet (pdf) offers more information on all our policies, criteria, application routes and how to apply.

If you're a tenant of another housing association or council you may be able to exchange your home with one of our tenants. Read our swapping homes booklet (pdf) to find out more.
