What’s great about our extra care developments is they have been designed to adapt to your changing needs. You could move there and just get help with shopping or dressing for example, but as you get older and your needs change, you can tap into a range of high-level care services.

Just like our sheltered housing developments, you’ll move into a modern, self-contained home with a choice of care and support services for you to use. Here, a team of staff is on hand 24 hours-a-day – it’s good to know that someone will be with you in a matter of minutes if you need them.

Our extra care developments also feature built-in technology that can be used to give you more independence. There are clever devices that let you open, close and lock doors and others that can detect a flood, fire or if someone has had a fall.

There’s lots more facilities on-site too. For example, you can enjoy meals in the restaurant, take part in regular exercise classes, have your hair styled in the salon and even get your washing done.

Most of our extra care properties are for rent, but at our latest development, Manor Gardens in Bolton, you can also buy.

Applying for a home
You can apply for extra care housing if you are over 55, or if you are under 55 and have a disability. If you are part of a couple and one of you meets our criteria, you are also welcome to apply.
