Ariba Purchase to Pay System

In Q1 2008 the Group will be rolling out the Group's new Purchase to Pay system. The new system will enable goods and services to be electronically ordered, receipted and invoiced. It will also be the only way the Group buys goods and services in the future. As one of our suppliers you may find that you have already been loaded into the new system in preparation for this, the process is known as bulk ramping. If this is the case then it possible that you may have already received emails from Ariba requesting that you log onto the ASN -Ariba Supplier Network. A communication about this will follow shortly explaining this process.

Ariba will be rolled out initially to our North West offices with a steady rolling programme seeing all offices using the system in 2008. This will mean however that we will need to run a parallel purchasing system using both Ariba and our current system until all offices are successfully transferred to the Ariba system.

One reason for choosing Ariba is that the system is easy to use and meets our current and future business needs giving us a full approval flow, better management information and visibility of what we spend and with whom.

As a supplier you will be contacted over the coming months to attend one of our supplier summits in 2008 where the process will be outlined to you fully.
