After tasting success at the Estates Gazette Awards last month, where Places for People was named Residential Company of the Year for the first time, our attention has now turned to other high-profile awards on the horizon, for which the Group has been shortlisted.
Rounding off a successful month for the Group, our Property Maintenance Division was also recognised at October's 24Housing Awards; shortlisted for Repairs and Maintenance Provider of the Year.
On 3November, Places for People will compete against some of the largest developers in the UK for the title of Housebuilder of the Year, at the national Housebuilder awards. A week later, we will be targeting the same prestigious title at the Building Awards in London.
As recognised by judges at the Estates Gazette Awards, the past year has been particularly successful for the Group, winning a number of high-profile house-building schemes including London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and a £300m partnership with Aberdeen City Council.
Over the last year, Places for People tripled its projected housebuilding pipeline, enabling us to deliver 15,000 much-needed new homes over the coming years.
"I'm incredibly proud of the awards successes and nominations we've achieved as a Group this year. Through hard work and innovation, we are now being recognised as much more than just a housing provider - our placemaking approach carries with it a long-term commitment to delivering truly successful places, where communities can genuinely thrive."
