Millwood Designer Homes is celebrating after scooping the top prize in two categories at the prestigious Evening Standard’s New Homes Awards in London on Friday (18 May).
Millwood was recognised for its exemplary work in the ‘Best Large Development of the Year under 100 homes’ category, for its Lavender Fields development in Isfield, East Sussex, and ‘Best Family Home under 750k, for The Lenham at Windsor Meadow in Marden, Kent.
Celebrating companies who strive to improve standards in all areas of the housebuilding industry, the Evening Standard Awards – now in their 27th year – are judged by Evening Standard readers and specialist architects.
John Elliott, Managing Director at Millwood Designer Homes said, “It is a great privilege to win two prestigious Evening Standard New Homes awards for Lavender Fields and Windsor Meadow. We are passionate about creating beautiful new homes for people and families that will improve their quality of life and it is a great achievement that this has been recognised by Evening Standard readers and industry experts. We are absolutely delighted that our efforts have been recognised on two of our fantastic schemes, which we are incredibly proud of.”
Lavender Fields is an outstanding development of 39 homes designed to preserve the heritage of the village. It comprises a grand manor house divided into luxury apartments, opulent farm and oast houses, as well as traditionally-inspired semi and detached homes.
Located amongst the Kent countryside, Windsor Meadow offers 86 homes of two to five bedroom terraced, semi-detached and detached properties. The winning home, The Lenham, is an impressive four-bedroom detached home, perfect for family living.
Millwood, which is based in Tonbridge in Kent, joined the Group in December 2017 and has established a reputation throughout the South East of England for building luxurious, individually designed homes which complement and enhance the area. The exclusive developments which include a range of properties from contemporary style apartments to more traditional two and three storey homes, can be found in country, town, and waterside locations throughout Kent, East Sussex and Surrey.
These awards come on the back of our recent success at the Built In Quality Awards, where Places for People Leisure's Sparkhill Pool and Fitness Centre was highly commended for Best Public Service Building, and the AGSM Gas Saftey Awards which saw our Property Services Gas Team scoop the Has Safety Leadership and Board Participation award.
