The project was highly celebrated for its triumph in delivering truly eco-build housing, which successfully combines stylish design with carbon-conscious living.
The housing development boasts fantastic sustainability qualities, capable of achieving a 100% reduction in target emissions when compared to the Building Regulations guidelines. The construction process and materials used were also highlighted for their efficiency, durability and waste minimisation, with the judge’s panel stating that this was an ‘eco-benchmark that others would do well to follow’.
Awarding the bronze accolade for Best Large Housebuilder, the WhatHouse? judges recognised our ongoing commitment to housing and placemaking throughout the UK.
We were praised for our growth and expansive, geographical spread as well as our investment in modular housing alongside our colleagues at Millwood Designer Homes. Cementing our place as one of the best large housebuilders in the UK was our joint-venture partnership with Surrey County Council.
This follows success at the prestigious Property Week Management All Stars Awards, where Group company Touchstone were crowned Employer of the Year. The judges were impressed by the Brilliant Place to Work (BP2W) project and the number of initiatives which focused on what colleagues wanted from Touchstone as an employer.
