It’s been another successful year of delivering projects in our neighbourhoods and communities.

Thanks to funding through the Touchstone Fund - which is managed by Places Foundation - 13 initiatives have been supported this year (2018/19) which make a positive difference to our customers and contribute to neighbourhood sustainability.

A total of 256 customers have benefitted from activities which focused on ‘Pathways to Learning’ and ‘Sustaining Tenancies’, including projects such as:

  • ‘Dementia Friendly – Our Lives project’ which promotes and extends independent living for residents with dementia at Campbell Court and Bents Cottages in Tyne and Wear.
  • ‘Ensuring a healthy standard of living for all’ which provides tenancy skills training to 16-25 year olds to set up and sustain their first home after leaving temporary accommodation.

The chosen theme for 2019/20 is homelessness and funding for ten projects across the country has been provided.
