Direct debit free prize draw terms and conditions
These terms and conditions apply to the Amazon Echo free prize draw in Let’s Talk September 2018 edition associated with the set-up of a direct debit for rent payments and are as follows:
The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
The winner agrees to the use of their name and image in any publicity material. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant's prior consent.
Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
The draw is open to all customers, either new to paying by direct debit, changing to direct debit from a different payment method or already paying by direct debit.
The direct debit must be set up on the customers rent account in order to qualify.
If the customer has had any direct debits returned unpaid before the draw date, they will also be withdrawn from the draw.
If the customer has arrears at the time of the draw, these will be paid first before the prize will be given to the customer.
The prize is subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
How to enter
Entry into the free prize draw is to be made at http://www.placesforpeople.co.uk/customers or by calling 0845 850 9571. Direct debit must have been set up between 25 September 2018 and 25 October 2018 to be entered into the prize draw.
Employees of Places for People connected in any way with the competition or helping to set up the competition shall not be permitted to enter the competition.
There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
Closing date for entry will be midnight on the 25 November 2018. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
Entries into the competition are limited to one per person and entries should be made directly by the individual. Any entries which we suspect to have been submitted via a third party for commercial gain will be deemed invalid.
One winner will be selected by an independent person, at random from all entries received by the closing date, no later than 01 January 2019.
One prize per individual winner.
The winner will be notified by email and/or letter. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim their prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and draw a replacement winner.
Suppliers of Places for People Procurement Hub shall not be permitted to enter the competition.
The prize draw promoter is Places for People Group whose registered office is at 80 Cheapside, London, EC2V 6EE.
The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter's control.
The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
The promoter's decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
No responsibility can be accepted for entries not registered for whatever reason.
