Working with our partners Urban Splash, we’ve helped to transform this incredible structure into a cultural hub for Sheffield, a place in which people can live, work and play.
We have completed 260 homes and more than 30,000 sq. ft of workspace in the first phase – all of which is now fully occupied with a diverse mix of residents. Ground floor commercial spaces are bustling with businesses such as the South Street Kitchen and the Grace Owen nursery; there’s an art gallery which occupies the former, notorious Scottish Queen pub.
Plans are also now approved for future phases; more Mikhail Riches-designed homes in phase 2, and student accommodation by Alumno in phase 3. More than 6400 sq. ft of space is also earmarked for a permanent space for S1 Artspace; plans have recently been exhibited, showing what this new cultural centre, with exhibition space and studios for artists, will look like.

“Sheffield has been reinventing itself as a northern capital of cool… There's no bigger indication of this than Park Hill…”
