BuildHer Programme Registration

Welcome to BuildHer!

We’re excited that you’re interested in joining the PfP Thrive – BuildHer Programme — a brand‑new initiative launching on International Women’s Day to support women who want to build confidence, gain new skills, and explore opportunities in Property Maintenance and Repairs.

This free, practical introduction is designed specifically for women who are housing customers and currently looking for employment. No previous experience is required — just enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to learn something new.

What You’ll Gain

During this programme, you will:

  • Learn the basics of Property Maintenance and Repairs in a supportive, hands‑on environment
  • Build confidence in using tools, equipment, and practical techniques
  • Explore what it’s like to work in the world of property maintenance
  • Meet other women with similar goals and interests
  • Gain insight into a sector where women are significantly underrepresented — and where new talent is in high demand

This pilot is being delivered in partnership with Novus Property Solutions, who are working alongside us to help create a welcoming, empowering learning experience.

Who Can Apply?

You can register if you are:

  • A female housing customer
  • Currently looking for employment
  • Interested in learning new skills, trying something hands‑on, or exploring potential future career pathways

No experience is needed — just bring your interest and energy.

Why BuildHer?

Women make up only a very small percentage of those working in trades and hands‑on maintenance roles across the UK. The BuildHer Programme aims to help change that by offering women the chance to explore this sector safely, confidently and without pressure.

Whether you’re exploring new directions or simply want to try something different, this programme is a great place to start.
