A tranquil location with great connections

With a busy schedule that sees him commuting regularly, Kasey was seeking a home that offered fast connections while embracing green space and tranquillity, and his new home at Greenwood Gardens delivered on every front.

Kasey comments: “I’m so happy to have found my new home at Greenwood Gardens – it’s perfect for me. The location is ideal for my work and my wellbeing. The train station is just a 15-minute walk away from my new house, and the bus stop is right outside my front door. It’s so easy to get into London, but when I come home, I can just switch off. Around here it is calm, peaceful and feels like a real idyllic escape.”

An affordable place to call home with Shared Ownership

PfP allows prospective buyers to calculate their costs with its Shared Ownership calculator. For Kasey, after initially visiting the development, he purchased a two-bedroom house for £330,000 with Shared Ownership, putting down a 5% deposit. His monthly mortgage is £480, and with rent, service charge and bills, the total comes to £1060.

He says: “I didn’t realise how much freedom Shared Ownership could give me. In the area where I grew up, even renting isn’t affordable anymore. For me, Shared Ownership meant that I could buy a place I love and still call it mine. It’s a powerful feeling!”

Shared Ownership: Freedom to live life your way

Having previously purchased a basement flat which he described as “noisy and not at all homely”, he felt that the search for his next property had to be more considered. After selling the flat and temporarily moving back in with his parents to save, he discovered Shared Ownership through a friend. This was a true turning point for Kasey, giving him the freedom to own a home in a location he loved, without feeling that he was overstretching himself financially.

Kasey shares: “The process was so much quicker and easier than I expected. Shared Ownership has well and truly changed my life, it has opened this opportunity that I would have never been able to do on my own otherwise.

“As for how quick the process was, I viewed the house in December and moved in by February! Since then, I’ve loved making the space my own. It’s light, spacious and just feels right. I finally have a place where I can grow and create a home that reflects who I am.”

Design transformations: creating the dream home

Since moving in, Kasey has been proudly documenting his home journey on TikTok on his account, @home.with.kasey, where he shares transformation videos and interiors inspiration with his followers. His first video tour, posted before he had moved in, attracted thousands of views and sparked a flood of interior advice from his online Community.

Kasey shares exciting insight into the transformation of his new home, having spent months decorating every corner with care and creativity.

He adds: “My dad taught me DIY from a young age, so it’s thanks to him, and a lot of YouTube, that I have had the skills to renovate myself. In the garden, I have seeded a fresh lawn, extended the patio, added two four-foot flower beds, and even painted the shed a lovely shade of lilac. I have affectionately named her ‘Hyacinth’ after consulting with my followers!”

Inside, each room reflects Kasey’s playful, nostalgic style. The living room channels a 1950s Malibu vibe, with bold pops of colour and tributes to icons like Dolly Parton, Miss Piggy and The Golden Girls. There’s even an underwater-themed bathroom, a cosy 1970s-inspired bedroom, and a colour-drenched kitchen complete with a framed photo of Princess Diana and a glowing neon sign. Every space tells a story and most importantly, feels like home. Kasey’s creativity shines through in the way he’s made his home his own, showing just how important it is to have a space that’s truly yours. Homeownership isn’t just about having a roof over your head; it’s about having the freedom to express yourself and create a place where you can really thrive.
