Trade Union recognition requests

All requests for trade union recognition must be submitted to our Employee Relations (ER) team via email at ERAdvice@placesforpeople.co.uk.

Our ER team is the central point of contact for all trade union recognition matters and they will ensure requests are reviewed without unnecessary delays.

To be considered, a written request for trade union recognition must:

• State the name of the trade union.
• Identify the group of employees the union seeks to represent if recognition is granted (the "bargaining unit").
• Confirm that the request is being made under Schedule A1 of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992.

Incomplete requests may be returned for clarification before a formal review can commence.
