Nominations for the 2025 Community Matters Awards are now closed
It is our Customers who bring a Community to life - whether they’re taking their neighbour to a class at their leisure centre, supporting the person next door who is finding their first night in a dorm challenging as they start their new university year, or helping a friend make their house a home in one of our neighbourhoods.
Nominations are now closed. We'll be announcing the 2026 awards soon!
What an unforgettable day at this year’s Community Matters Awards!
Every year, the CMAs remind us just how much difference people can make when they care - and this one was no exception.
The day was filled with stories of kindness, resilience, and Community spirit. We had the privilege of meeting some truly inspirational Customers - ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
Sylvia, an extraordinary advocate for People living with dementia. Drawing from her own experience, she’s written two books, taken up painting at 75, and uses her story to inspire hope, encourage early diagnosis, and support others navigating life with dementia.
Kim, who transformed the lives of families living with direct feeding lines or stoma bags by creating something no one else had before - specialised drysuits that let them swim safely.
Hameed, who arrived in the UK last year as an asylum seeker. Now living in our supported accommodation, he’s become a pillar of support for others - mentoring his peers, helping them settle in, and showing incredible empathy and leadership.
These amazing individuals see themselves as ordinary - but their impact is anything but.
We left the event feeling humbled, inspired, and proud to celebrate such kindness and courage within our Communities.
