Digital and Online Support
If you need online support, we can help with access to free 1 to 1 over the phone training (no prior knowledge needed). From searching for a new home to booking doctor's appointments, our support enables you to feel more confident getting online. Take a look at our digital offerings below to see what might suit your needs.
We Are Digital
Working in partnership with We Are Digital we can offer up to 6 hours of free 1 to 1 over the phone sessions with a specialist tutor to support you using your own digital devices.
If you would like ongoing 1 to 1 support or a hand with basic digital skills we have our very own Tech Buddies, these are volunteer staff members and Places for People customers trained to help and support you with your day-to-day digital life.
If you are interested in volunteering to be one of our Tech Buddies please don't hesitate to get in touch. All volunteers are given accredited training through the Digital Unite Network as well as access to resource packs and support sessions, so you don't need to be a digital expert, just a people person!
Digital Access Points
If you require face to face digital training, we may be able to deliver support sessions in person at one of our digital access points. Please speak to a member of our team to find out if face to face sessions can be delivered in your local community.
Digital Kit and Data
If you need support accessing a device or data to get online, we may be able to help you access phones, tablets and SIM cards to enable you to get on the internet and keep in touch with your friends, family or support network
If you need some help to get online, digital support or feeling more confident on the internet, please contact our Digital Coordinators at email@example.com or speak to your local Places for People contact for a referral.
