Getting online
Having digital skills and being active online provides many opportunities and benefits, including:
- Staying in touch with friends and family, via phone or social media.
- Finding jobs, education, and training opportunities.
- Managing finances and accessing vital health services.
However, the digital divide remains a significant challenge. Millions of people in the UK are still excluded due to a lack of affordable access, devices, or the necessary skills and confidence. This exclusion can lead to social isolation, limited opportunities, and a higher cost of living, as those offline often pay more for essential goods and services.
We're committed to breaking down these barriers and ensuring all our Customers have the support they need to thrive in the digital age.
Your path to digital empowerment: Our support
We understand that getting online involves more than just plugging in a cable. It requires the right device, affordable connectivity, the right skills, and the confidence to use them safely. That's why we’ve partnered with leading organisations to provide a comprehensive package of support designed to meet your specific needs.
Our Digital and Employability Coordinator is here to support you in getting online and help you to access suitable training (including 1:1 help) as well as devices, broadband and data if needed.
