Applying for a home: Step-by-Step

Our simple, online process makes applying for your home as easy as possible.

1. What do I need to know?

All of our homes are let on a first come, first served basis. This includes existing customers. We do not hold waiting lists or allocate based on medical or housing needs. We work with a number of partners across the country who can help you find social rented housing.

2. Finding a home

You can search by location, number of bedrooms and maximum rent cost per month.

3. Create your account

Anyone can search our homes to rent, but you'll need to create an account before you can apply for a property.

It only takes a few moments to sign up and you’ll be able to save your searches and add properties to a watchlist.

4. Apply for a home

Once you’ve found a home that you want to apply for, you’ll need to complete an online application.

Sign into your account, go to the property you wish to apply for and select ‘Apply for property’.

This will take you directly to our online application form and the property details will automatically be filled in for you at the top of the page.

Verify your identity

We'll ask you for some documents so that we can verify your identity.

It will be helpful if you have proof of ID, address and income ready when applying for a property.

You'll need to upload these as image or PDF files.

Once you have completed the form, you’ll be asked to agree with our terms and conditions before submitting your application.

5. What happens next?

If your application has been shortlisted you will be contacted by our Lettings Team.

If we do not contact you within 5 working days, this means the property has been offered to someone who applied earlier, provided all the information and has been verified.

To keep your options open, we recommend checking for other homes that are available in your area.
